In Bushu Kanji (Kanji Radicals), do I need to know the meaning and the pronunciation, or just the meaning?

The Bushu Kanji's or radicals exist to express the nature of the kanji characters. The radicals gives you clues as to the kanji's origin, group, meaning or pronunciation. It is best to know both the meaning and the pronunciation, though knowing the meaning may come in more handy than the pronunciation.
