Re: in video game?
Well I know that there is kanji in the game poporogue, and I have only seen a few that I recognize. I have been reading all the hiragana and katakana shown, but a lot of kanji is represented. i noticed a repetition of quite a few of them, which I have been trying to figure out how they're pronounced and the meanings. Of course, I do not know a lot of what is being said, but..ganbatte imasu!!

On a related note I'm reformatting my computer for a updated beta version of windows 7 and I'm downloading the Japanese version of it all. My laptop will still be in english so I can look up kanji and etc. as I need to, but I forsee lots of difficult times for me...
This will be interesting!!! おもしろいでしたね。
Did I conjugate desu right to say it will be interesting? or would I use some form of masu....

すごい、これはもっとむずかしです!!!
(OMG, This is very difficult!)
あたまがいたいです。それてもがんばてます!
(My head hurts. However I'm doing my best!)
So yeah I've reformatted and everything as predicted EVERYTHING is in japanese... which is awesome on a "I'm going to try to understand this and learn japanese from it." but also completely horrifying for when I actually have to get stuff done for a deadline.
So yeah I'd say this is one way to immerse myself in the language... Whenver I see katakana/hiragana my head screams "YAY I CAN READ THAT!" however anything else I'm like "PULL OUT THE DICTIONARY QUICK BEFORE IT DISAPPEARS!".
This will indeed be quite the experience...

デレックさん。
たのしく べんきょうして いますか? I hope you are enjoying learning Japanese!
Here's a tiny mistake...
For "This will be interesting!!!" you wrote おもしろいでしたね。 which is incorrect.
おもしろい is an I-adjective and thus when attached to the it's various forms are...
Present おもしろい omoshiroi
Negative おもしろくない omoshirokunai
Past おもしろかった omoshirokatta
Past Negative おもしろくなかった omoshirokunakatta
Now, the above are all in the plain casual form. If you want to be more polite, you can add です Desu regardless of the tense of the adjective. So we have for a polite level of speech:
Present おもしろい です omoshiroi desu
Negative おもしろくない です omoshirokunai desu
Past おもしろかった です omoshirokatta desu
Past Negative おもしろくなかった です omoshirokunakatta desu
Note that the です does not change form to でした even when the adjective is in the past tense like おもしろかった omoshirokatta.
So, I think the easiest way to say "This will be interesting!!!" is:
おもしろいですね! which literally translates as "It's interesting!" or if you want to sound more like a native, you can say,
おもしろいでしょうね! where でしょう expresses a guess "is probably/maybe/surely [the stated condition]" So, おもしろいでしょうね! implies roughly "Surely, it will be interesting!"

あ、おもしろいですね!はい、べんきょからたのし!
(Ah, that's interesting! Yes I'm having fun with studying Japanese)... Latter sentence is probably a lot more colloquial.
If you're wondering I tried that out... it didn't go so well...
...
Yeah what happened was instead of it forcing me to pull out a dictionary and try to read more kanji... it made me utilize my memorization of where stuff is at in the Windows GUI and Firefox GUI...
So I've decided my compromise is to change only my date and time settings so they are displayed in Japanese, but the rest is in English...
Besides that troubleshooting stuff on my computer is a... uh "pain" as it is, let alone in Japanese... Although the challenge of reading stuff would be entertaining at first it'd become extremely annoying very quickly...
(It took me 8 hours to fix my corrupted hard drive partition that I corrupted on accident... If I had to do that in Japanese I'd probably still be fixing it...).
I'll have to try again when わたしはもっとじょうずです.
I decided to put it back in english after 15 minutes xD... talk about failure... no actually it was that fast more because a friend pointed out something very wise (... as in the English teacher in Japan who wrote the lyrics in my signature)
"When you're learning a new language you want to try and introduce things at 150-125% of what you know. That's like trying to go at 20000%"
Or something like that...
Otherwise I would've tried longer...
